How can Crystals be Used

Disclaimer: It's important to note that while crystals have been used for metaphysical healing for centuries, their effectiveness is not scientifically proven and their use should be approached with an open mind and a critical thinking perspective. If you have questions affecting your health, it's best to speak to a healthcare professional first.

Crystals have been used throughout a good part of history to aid in healing of ailments, mood, fashion, etc. While healing of physical ailments isn't scientifically proven, they can still bring positivity your way. This could be as simple as having a crystal sitting on a table as a display piece. Maybe seeing it there is enough to change your mood to one that's more positive because you like the way it looks.

With that said and out of the way, let's talk about how energies can be balanced and ways to use crystals. Below is breakdown of examples of ways crystals can be used. We'll break these down further in later parts of our Learn series. You can click on the links for each or click the button below to move through in order. We've left Chakra Balancing until the end as we've broken it out further:

1. Grounding: Crystals can help ground the body and connect them to the earth's energies, promoting feelings of stability and balance. Common grounding crystals include hematite, black tourmaline, and smoky quartz.

2. Aura Protection: Crystals can help protect a person's aura, or energy field, from negative influences and energies. Crystals such as clear quartz, citrine, and pyrite are believed to have this protective quality.

3. Healing Emotional Trauma: Crystals can be used to help heal emotional trauma by transmitting loving energy to the affected area of the body. For example, rose quartz is often used for emotional healing and can help promote feelings of love, compassion, and forgiveness.

4. Manifestation: Crystals can be used to help manifest a person's desires by amplifying their intentions and focusing their energy on the desired outcome. For example, manifestation crystals such as citrine and pyrite are believed to help attract abundance and prosperity.

5. Meditation: Crystals can be used as a tool along with meditation, helping to focus the mind and promote inner peace. For example, quartz is often used for this purpose due to its ability to amplify intentions and transmit spiritual energy.

6. Intuitive Insights: Crystals can be used to help tap into one's intuition and gain insights into a situation or problem. For example, intuitive crystals such as selenite and clear quartz are believed to help clarify thoughts and promote inner wisdom.

7. Energy Shielding: Crystals can be used to shield a person's energy from negative influences and energies, promoting feelings of protection and security. For example, black tourmaline is often used for this purpose due to its ability to deflect negative energy.

8. Space Clearing: Crystals can be used to clear a space of negative energy and promote a more positive atmosphere. For example, selenite is often used for this purpose due to its ability to absorb and transmute negative energy.

9. Spiritual Growth: Crystals can be used to help promote spiritual growth and development by amplifying a person's connection to the divine or higher power. For example, spiritual crystals such as aquamarine and celestite are believed to help foster a deeper sense of inner peace and spiritual awareness.

10. Chakra Balancing: Crystals are believed to have the ability to affect the body's energy centers, or chakras, and help balance them for optimal health and well-being. Different crystals are associated with each chakra, and can be used to cleanse, align, and balance that area of the body. For example, amethyst is associated with the third eye chakra, while rose quartz is associated with the heart chakra.

Again, just to reiterate: It's important to note that while crystals have been used for metaphysical healing for centuries, their effectiveness is not scientifically proven and their use should be approached with an open mind and a critical thinking perspective. If you have questions affecting your health, it's best to speak to a healthcare professional first.
